Role Summary:
BYJU'S is seeking a skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist to join our innovative team. The GIS Specialist will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to support the development and enhancement of our educational content and platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of GIS principles, tools, and techniques, with a focus on applying them to the ed-tech domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain geospatial databases and datasets for various educational projects.
- Create maps, visualizations, and spatial analyses to support curriculum development and student engagement strategies.
- Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and tools to process, analyze, and interpret spatial data.
- Collaborate with content creators, instructional designers, and product teams to integrate spatial data and insights into learning materials.
- Perform spatial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and relationships relevant to educational outcomes.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency in all geospatial projects.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in GIS technology and their potential applications in the ed-tech sector.
