Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Geophysicist to join our specialized unit focused on advanced security and law enforcement applications. The Geophysicist will be responsible for applying geophysical principles and techniques to aid in various operational and investigative tasks, including subsurface anomaly detection, forensic investigations, and infrastructure security assessments. This role requires a strong understanding of geological formations, seismic data analysis, and the application of geophysical tools in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geophysical surveys and investigations using various methods such as ground-penetrating radar (GPR), seismic, resistivity, and magnetic surveys.
- Analyze and interpret geophysical data to identify subsurface anomalies, buried objects, underground structures, and geological hazards.
- Develop and implement geophysical methodologies tailored to specific law enforcement and security challenges.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and visualizations of geophysical findings for operational and investigative purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement officers, intelligence analysts, and other technical experts to integrate geophysical data into broader investigations.
- Operate and maintain geophysical equipment, ensuring accuracy and calibration.
- Stay abreast of advancements in geophysical techniques and their potential applications in security and forensic science.
About CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the primary central police force of the Union of India. It is one of the oldest central para-military forces, with its origins dating back to 27th July 1939. It was constituted as the Crown Representative's Police on that date. After India's independence, it was converted into the Central Reserve Police Force by an Act of Parliament on 28th December 1949. The CRPF is the largest paramilitary force in India and plays a crucial role in maintaining internal security, combating insurgency, and providing security during elections and other critical events. It is a vital component of India's law enforcement and internal security apparatus.
