Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Geoscientist Manager to lead our subsurface exploration and characterization efforts within our petrochemical and polymer division. This role will be instrumental in identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon resources and geological formations relevant to our feedstock sourcing and infrastructure development. The Geoscientist Manager will oversee a team of geoscientists, ensuring the application of advanced geological and geophysical techniques to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of geoscientists and geologists in the interpretation of seismic data, well logs, and core samples.
- Develop and implement geological models for resource assessment and risk analysis.
- Oversee the planning and execution of geological field studies and data acquisition programs.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers and other technical disciplines to optimize exploration and development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geoscience technology and methodologies.
- Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
