Role Summary:
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience for its operations in Vishakhapatnam. This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our defence and aerospace facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical understanding and legal acumen, with an LLB degree, to navigate project requirements and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations, soil testing, and laboratory analysis to determine soil properties and bearing capacity.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
- Review and interpret geological and geotechnical data for project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards specific to defence and aerospace projects.
- Assist in the preparation and review of contracts and legal documentation related to construction and land development, leveraging LLB knowledge.
- Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and contractors to address geotechnical issues.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical designs and specifications.
- Identify and assess potential legal or contractual risks associated with geotechnical aspects of projects and propose mitigation strategies.
