Harbour Master

Role Summary:
The Harbour Master will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the port facilities managed by Bharti Realty. This role involves overseeing all aspects of maritime operations, vessel traffic, cargo handling, and safety regulations within the port's jurisdiction. The Harbour Master will ensure compliance with national and international maritime laws and company policies, contributing to the smooth functioning of port activities and the overall facility management strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control all vessel traffic within the port limits to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Develop and implement port operating procedures and contingency plans.
• Oversee cargo operations, including loading, unloading, and storage, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international maritime regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISPS Code.
• Supervise port staff, including pilots, tug masters, and operational personnel.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of port facilities and equipment.
• Manage port security and emergency response procedures.
• Liaise with shipping companies, port users, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage port infrastructure, including berths, channels, and navigational aids.
• Prepare and manage the port's operational budget.
