Harbour Master

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Harbour Master to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our port facilities. The Harbour Master will be responsible for managing all vessel traffic, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and maintaining the security and environmental integrity of the harbour. This role is critical for the seamless functioning of our port infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement comprehensive harbour management plans.
* Control and manage all vessel movements within the harbour limits, ensuring safety and efficiency.
* Enforce all relevant national and international maritime laws, regulations, and port by-laws.
* Coordinate with pilots, tugs, linesmen, and other port service providers.
* Conduct regular inspections of the harbour, berths, and navigational aids.
* Manage and respond to maritime incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
* Oversee port security and implement measures to prevent unauthorized access and activities.
* Monitor and manage environmental protection measures within the harbour.
* Maintain accurate records of vessel traffic, incidents, and harbour activities.
* Liaise with stakeholders including shipping companies, port authorities, and regulatory bodies.
* Ensure the optimal utilization of port resources and facilities.
* Provide guidance and training to junior harbour staff.
