Hardware Platform Engineer

Role Summary:
Reliance Retail is seeking a talented Hardware Platform Engineer with 2-4 years of experience and an M.Tech degree to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and validating hardware platforms that power our innovative retail solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware architecture, and a passion for bringing cutting-edge technology to life in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom hardware platforms for retail applications, including POS systems, inventory management devices, and in-store analytics hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineers, product managers, operations) to define hardware requirements and specifications.
- Conduct thorough hardware testing and validation, including functional, performance, and reliability testing.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Research and evaluate new hardware components and technologies to improve platform performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Create and maintain detailed hardware design documentation, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Work with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth product development and production cycles.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in hardware engineering, particularly within the retail technology space.
