Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware Reliability Engineer to join our research and development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of hardware components and systems used in various research projects and potentially in field deployments for social impact initiatives. This role involves a deep understanding of hardware failure mechanisms, testing methodologies, and statistical analysis to predict and prevent failures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive hardware reliability testing plans and procedures.
- Conduct failure analysis on hardware components and systems to identify root causes.
- Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze reliability data and predict product lifespan.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to integrate reliability considerations into the product development lifecycle.
- Identify potential failure modes and recommend design improvements for enhanced reliability.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hardware reliability engineering and testing technologies.
- Prepare detailed reports on reliability test results, failure analysis, and recommendations.
