Head - Finance & Accounts

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Head - Finance & Accounts to join our dynamic team in Thane. This role is crucial for managing the financial operations of our growing textile startup. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal acumen and financial expertise to ensure compliance, optimize financial strategies, and drive profitability. This position is well-suited for an individual with 2-4 years of experience and an LLM degree, eager to make a significant impact in the fast-paced textile and apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in compliance with Indian accounting standards and legal regulations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, Income Tax, etc.) and manage all tax filings.
- Review and advise on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents from a financial and compliance perspective.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Manage banking relationships and cash flow.
- Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting the finance function, particularly within the textile sector.
