Role Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head - Hardware Engineering to lead our hardware development initiatives within the railway sector. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge hardware solutions that meet the stringent requirements of railway operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering, coupled with a proven track record in hardware project management and team leadership. This position is based in Mangalore and requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and testing of all hardware components and systems for railway applications.
Oversee the entire hardware engineering lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to production and deployment.
Manage and mentor a team of hardware engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures specific to the railway sector.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineering, to deliver integrated solutions.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient project completion.
Stay abreast of emerging hardware technologies and trends relevant to the railway industry and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues encountered during development and in operational environments.
