Head - Hardware Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Hardware Engineering to lead our cutting-edge hardware development initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our urban transport hardware solutions, from concept to production. You will manage a team of talented engineers, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, reliable hardware products that meet the demanding requirements of the urban transport sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a high-performing hardware engineering team.
2. Oversee the entire hardware product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and manufacturing.
3. Drive innovation in hardware architecture and component selection for embedded systems, IoT devices, and power electronics relevant to urban transport.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, product management, operations) to define product roadmaps and specifications.
5. Ensure adherence to industry standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
6. Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven experience in designing and developing complex embedded systems, IoT hardware, and power management solutions.
4. Strong understanding of PCB design, analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and communication protocols.
5. Experience with hardware testing, validation, and certification processes.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
7. Familiarity with the challenges and requirements of the urban transport sector is a plus.
