Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Head of Information Security to join our growing biotechnology firm in Mumbai. This role is crucial for safeguarding our sensitive data, intellectual property, and IT infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security principles and compliance within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector, coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management. This position is tailored for an individual with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA if applicable, Indian data protection laws).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Oversee the implementation and management of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Manage security awareness training programs for employees.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis.
- Monitor security alerts and manage security incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security is integrated into all business processes and systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and regulatory changes within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans from a security perspective.
