Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Media Relations to lead our media engagement efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media relations strategies to enhance the company's reputation, manage crises, and promote key business initiatives within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial media landscape and a proven track record of building strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proactive and reactive media relations strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Serve as a primary media spokesperson for the company, articulating key messages clearly and effectively.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key financial journalists, editors, and producers across all media platforms.
- Manage all aspects of media inquiries, press conferences, and media events.
- Develop compelling press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop crisis communication plans and manage media responses during sensitive situations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investor relations, marketing, legal, and business units, to ensure consistent messaging.
- Identify opportunities for positive media coverage and thought leadership.
- Oversee media training for executives and other designated spokespeople.
- Track and report on media relations activities and their impact on brand reputation.
