Head - Media Relations

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Media Relations to lead and manage all aspects of our media engagement for Jio Platforms Limited in India. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies to enhance the company's brand reputation, manage crises, and effectively communicate our business objectives and achievements to key media stakeholders across traditional and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a proactive media relations strategy aligned with company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers in the telecom, technology, business, and general news sectors.
- Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Manage media inquiries, interviews, and press conferences.
- Oversee crisis communication planning and execution.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on sentiment and key messages.
- Advise senior leadership on media-related issues and opportunities.
- Identify and leverage opportunities for positive media coverage and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, PR, legal, investor relations) to ensure consistent messaging.
- Manage the media relations budget and agency relationships (if applicable).
