Head - R & D

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Research and Development (R&D) to lead our pharmaceutical R&D operations in India. This senior leadership role will be instrumental in driving innovation, developing new drug candidates, and ensuring the successful translation of scientific discoveries into commercially viable products. The Head of R&D will foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and efficiency within the R&D department, aligning with the company's global strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the R&D strategy for the Indian subsidiary, aligning with global R&D priorities and therapeutic area focus.
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists and researchers across various disciplines including drug discovery, pre-clinical development, formulation, and analytical sciences.
- Oversee the entire R&D pipeline, from early-stage research to late-stage development and regulatory submission.
- Drive innovation by identifying new research opportunities, technologies, and therapeutic targets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., CDSCO, FDA, EMA) and internal quality standards.
- Manage R&D budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Foster strong collaborations with academic institutions, research organizations, and external partners.
- Contribute to the intellectual property strategy through patent filings and scientific publications.
- Stay abreast of scientific advancements, market trends, and competitive landscape in the pharmaceutical industry.
