Head - R & D

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Head - R & D to lead our research and development initiatives in the petrochemical and plastics sector. This role will be instrumental in driving product innovation, process optimization, and the development of sustainable materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of intellectual property law and its application in a corporate R&D setting, leveraging their LLM degree to protect and commercialize novel technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellence.
- Develop and execute a strategic R&D roadmap aligned with business objectives in petrochemicals, plastics, and rubber.
- Oversee the entire R&D lifecycle from ideation and experimentation to pilot testing and scale-up.
- Conduct thorough patent landscape analysis and develop robust intellectual property strategies for new inventions.
- Draft and prosecute patent applications, working closely with patent attorneys and internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate and manage R&D budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and legal, to ensure successful product launches and technology transfers.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the petrochemical and materials science industries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior researchers and technical staff.
