Head - Taxation

Role Summary: The Head - Taxation will be responsible for overseeing all taxation matters for WPP India, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations, and developing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate tax, GST, international tax, and transfer pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with all applicable tax laws in India.
• Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, GST, TDS, and other relevant taxes.
• Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring compliance with OECD guidelines and Indian regulations.
• Liaise with tax authorities, handle tax assessments, audits, and appeals.
• Provide tax advisory services to the business on various matters, including mergers, acquisitions, new business initiatives, and international transactions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
• Manage and mentor the taxation team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
