Health and Safety Officer

Role Summary: The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs within the organization to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, in compliance with relevant Indian regulations and international standards. This role is crucial for minimizing workplace risks and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian health and safety legislation (e.g., Factories Act, OSH Code).
• Organize and conduct health and safety training programs for employees.
• Maintain health and safety records and documentation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies on health and safety matters.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
