Health and Safety Officer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees at our Indian offices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with Indian regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian health and safety legislation and regulations (e.g., Factories Act, Occupational Safety and Health Code).
- Organize and conduct health and safety training for employees.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Develop and manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of health and safety measures.
