Role Summary:
SAIL is seeking a motivated and skilled Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technician with 1-2 years of experience and an M.Tech degree to join our occupational health department in Coimbatore. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electroencephalographic tests to monitor brain activity, assisting medical professionals in diagnosing neurological conditions, and ensuring the well-being of our employees within the industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate EEG equipment to record brain wave activity in patients.
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Apply electrodes to the scalp accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patients during EEG recordings, observing for any adverse reactions or changes.
- Ensure the quality and clarity of recorded EEG data.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of EEG equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
- Assist neurologists and other medical staff in interpreting EEG findings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards in the laboratory.
- Contribute to the occupational health and safety initiatives within the company.
