Hiring: Head - Media Relations | Vishakhapatnam | 3-5 Yrs

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head - Media Relations to manage and enhance the public image of Jindal Steel & Power Limited in Vishakhapatnam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies, fostering strong relationships with journalists, and ensuring consistent and positive brand messaging across all platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the media landscape, particularly within the Indian Iron & Steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement media relations strategies to support company objectives.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts (print, online, broadcast) in India.

Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.

Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing timely reports and insights.

Act as a company spokesperson when required, ensuring accurate and consistent messaging.

Manage crisis communication and respond effectively to sensitive media inquiries.

Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, corporate communications, legal) to ensure alignment on messaging.

Organize press conferences, media briefings, and other media events.
