Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Histotechnologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy for diagnostic and research purposes within our aviation-focused operations. You will work closely with pathologists and researchers to support critical analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process tissue specimens from collection to final staining, including fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
- Perform routine and special stains on tissue slides.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment, such as microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.
- Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and storage of all tissue samples and slides.
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to tissue processing and staining.
- Assist in quality control procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and research outcomes.
- Stay updated with advancements in histological techniques and laboratory practices.
