Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Policy & Compliance Officer to join our team at Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant Indian labor laws and regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a fair, equitable, and legally compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures in line with current Indian labor laws (e.g., Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Wages Act, Maternity Benefit Act, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to employment, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR practices to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Advise management and employees on HR policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
  • Manage employee grievances and disciplinary procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of HR-related employee benefits and statutory compliances.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations and their impact on the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on HR policies and compliance for employees and managers.
