Hydrographic Surveying - Telecom / ISP (2-4 Yrs Exp)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Hydrographic Surveyor with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree and a strong understanding of data acquisition, processing, and analysis for underwater infrastructure projects within the telecommunications sector. You will be responsible for conducting surveys, interpreting data, and ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of subsea fiber optic cables and other critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-installation and as-built hydrographic surveys for subsea fiber optic cable routes and other underwater telecom infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, including multibeam echosounders, side-scan sonar, GPS, and sub-bottom profilers.
- Process and analyze raw survey data using specialized hydrographic software to generate charts, maps, and reports.
- Identify and delineate underwater features, obstacles, and potential hazards to ensure safe cable laying operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to interpret survey results and provide recommendations for route optimization and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Prepare technical documentation, including survey plans, data quality reports, and final survey deliverables.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to survey data acquisition and processing.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hydrographic surveying technology and methodologies.
