Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Imaging & Diagnostics Specialist to join our Research & Development team. This role will be instrumental in leveraging advanced imaging technologies and diagnostic techniques to analyze plant health, pest infestations, and disease progression in agricultural settings. The specialist will contribute to the development of innovative agrochemical solutions by providing critical data and insights derived from imaging and diagnostic studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute imaging experiments using various modalities (e.g., hyperspectral, multispectral, thermal, fluorescence imaging) for plant phenotyping, disease detection, and pest identification.
- Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines and algorithms for quantitative assessment of plant stress, growth, and health indicators.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to complement imaging data and provide comprehensive insights into biological processes.
- Collaborate with plant pathologists, entomologists, agronomists, and chemists to define research objectives and interpret results.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment and diagnostic tools, ensuring operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and scientific publications documenting findings and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in imaging technology, remote sensing, and agricultural diagnostics.
