Immediate Hire: Construction Materials Manager (3-5 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and legally-minded Construction Materials Manager with 3-5 years of experience and an LLB degree to oversee the procurement, quality control, and inventory management of construction materials for our state-of-the-art biotechnology facilities in Bangalore. This role requires a strong understanding of material specifications, vendor management, contract compliance, and relevant legal frameworks governing construction and supply chains in India.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the efficient procurement of all construction materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines.
- Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, selection, and performance evaluation, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee the quality assurance process for all incoming construction materials, conducting or arranging for necessary inspections and testing.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement systems for stock control to minimize waste and ensure availability of materials.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and national regulations pertaining to construction materials, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to resolve material-related issues and disputes.
- Monitor market trends and pricing for construction materials to optimize procurement costs.
- Prepare regular reports on material procurement, inventory levels, costs, and vendor performance for management review.
- Provide legal insights and support on contractual matters related to construction materials procurement and supply chain.
