Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Officer with 1-2 years of experience to join our team in Mangalore, India. The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Design (M.Des) degree and a passion for sustainability within the packaging industry. This role will be instrumental in ensuring Amcor India's compliance with environmental regulations and driving sustainable practices across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures.
Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
Monitor and report on environmental performance indicators, including waste management, emissions, and resource consumption.
Support the investigation of environmental incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.
Contribute to the design and development of sustainable packaging solutions, leveraging M.Des knowledge.
Engage with internal stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and best practices.
Maintain environmental records and documentation.
