Industrial Engineer - Consumer Electronics & Appliances (0-1 Yrs Exp)

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer with a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree to join our team in Chennai. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates looking to apply their design thinking and process improvement skills within the dynamic consumer electronics and appliances manufacturing sector. You will contribute to optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality from a design and manufacturing integration perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in analyzing existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
- Support the development and implementation of new production layouts and methodologies.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and design for assembly (DFA).
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workstation efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and propose design-related solutions.
- Help in developing and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and visual aids.
- Support quality control initiatives by understanding design specifications and their impact on manufacturing.
- Contribute to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects.
- Gather and analyze data related to production performance and present findings to senior engineers.
