Job Description

Role Summary: The Infectiologist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent, detect, and control infectious disease outbreaks within the personnel and facilities of the Central Reserve Police Force. This role is critical in ensuring the health and operational readiness of our forces, particularly in diverse and challenging operational environments across India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive infectious disease surveillance programs.
  • Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends, risk factors, and potential outbreaks.
  • Provide expert consultation on infection control policies and procedures for barracks, training facilities, and operational deployments.
  • Design and deliver training programs on infectious disease prevention and control for medical staff and personnel.
  • Collaborate with public health agencies and military medical services on disease prevention efforts.
  • Lead rapid response teams during outbreaks, ensuring effective containment and management.
  • Stay abreast of emerging infectious diseases and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of vaccines, prophylactic medications, and other essential supplies.
