Internal Auditor - Gems & Jewellery (3-4 Yrs Exp)

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Internal Auditor with 3-4 years of experience and a strong legal background (LLM) to join our team in Ahmedabad. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the organization, with a specific focus on our operations in the Gems & Jewellery sector. This role requires a proactive approach to identify potential risks, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and recommend improvements to operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance procedures to identify control weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute audit plans based on risk assessment and organizational objectives.
- Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly those pertaining to the Gems & Jewellery sector.
- Investigate discrepancies, fraud, or non-compliance, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to interpret and apply legal frameworks to audit findings.
- Prepare audit reports for management and the audit committee, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and assess their effectiveness.
- Stay updated on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing and the Gems & Jewellery industry.
