Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and analytical Investment / Lending Risk Analyst to join our team. This role will be instrumental in assessing and mitigating risks associated with our investment and lending activities within the public administration and financial infrastructure sector in India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, risk management frameworks, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on the unique landscape of India's public sector and government initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing investment and lending proposals, focusing on credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
- Develop and implement robust risk models and methodologies to evaluate the financial health and creditworthiness of counterparties, including government entities and public sector undertakings.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, identifying potential risk exposures and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to internal risk policies, regulatory guidelines, and relevant Indian laws and statutes.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant committees.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and business development teams to ensure integrated risk management across all operations.
- Stay abreast of macroeconomic trends, policy changes, and industry developments impacting the investment and lending landscape in India.
- Perform due diligence on potential partners and projects, evaluating their risk profiles.
