Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc degree and 4-6 years of experience in managing IT assets within an organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring compliance, optimizing utilization, and minimizing costs for NASSCOM Foundation's technology infrastructure. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and supporting our mission of driving societal good through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT asset management policies and procedures.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all hardware, software, and licenses.
- Track the procurement, deployment, movement, and disposal of IT assets.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and internal policies.
- Manage software license compliance and optimize license utilization to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to forecast future asset needs.
- Manage vendor relationships related to IT asset procurement and maintenance.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT asset management, including security vulnerabilities and obsolescence.
- Generate regular reports on asset inventory, utilization, and compliance for management.
- Support the IT department in hardware and software rollouts, upgrades, and decommissioning processes.
