IT Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented IT Operations Manager to oversee our critical IT infrastructure and ensure seamless operations within our pharmaceutical and life sciences environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals, implementing and maintaining robust IT systems, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of IT best practices and a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and lead the IT operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
3. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure security, reliability, and compliance.
4. Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of all IT systems and applications.
5. Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, within budget and timeline.
6. Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to align IT operations with business objectives.
7. Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT services and equipment.
8. Monitor IT systems for performance issues, security threats, and potential failures, and implement corrective actions.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in IT operations management, with a focus on infrastructure and systems administration.
3. Proven experience managing IT teams and projects.
4. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, server technologies (Windows/Linux), virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
5. Experience with ITIL best practices and service management.
6. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
7. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry (GxP, HIPAA).
8. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
