IT Security Consultant

Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Security Consultant to join our team at Nuziveedu Seeds Limited. The consultant will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our critical IT infrastructure, sensitive data, and intellectual property within the agricultural domain. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in a corporate environment, with a focus on safeguarding operations and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design and oversee the deployment of security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and data loss prevention tools.
- Monitor security alerts and events, investigate potential security breaches, and coordinate incident response activities.
- Provide expert advice on cybersecurity matters to IT staff and other business units.
- Ensure the security of data storage, transmission, and access, including compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and address weaknesses.
- Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development lifecycle and infrastructure projects.
