Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection / Recovery Manager with 2-3 years of experience to join our finance team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the recovery of outstanding debts, minimizing bad debts, and ensuring timely collection of payments from our clients in the building materials sector. This role requires a proactive approach, strong negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of collection processes and legal frameworks relevant to India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for the collection of overdue accounts.
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of outstanding debts, identifying high-risk accounts.
- Contact customers to discuss outstanding payments and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
- Liaise with legal counsel or external agencies for escalated recovery cases.
- Prepare regular reports on collection performance, aging of receivables, and recovery trends.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant debt collection laws and regulations in India.
- Collaborate with sales and accounts departments to resolve payment disputes and prevent future delinquencies.
