Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher to join our hospital's food services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly washed and stored, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed. This role is crucial in upholding the hygiene standards of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment using dishwashing machines and manual methods.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and equipment.
3. Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
4. Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling simple dishes, under the guidance of the culinary team.
5. Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations and hospital policies.
6. Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and maintain the cleanliness of waste disposal areas.
7. Support the kitchen staff with any other duties as assigned to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
