Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our kitchen and upholding our high standards of hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, cookware, and kitchen utensils using dishwashing machines and manual methods.
- Scrape and pre-rinse food debris from dishes before washing.
- Sort and stack clean dishes, glassware, and cutlery for storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and maintain the cleanliness of waste disposal areas.
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and fryers, as directed.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and company policies.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed, including basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Ensure proper functioning of dishwashing equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
