Role Summary: The Lab Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the IT lab, ensuring equipment is maintained, and assisting technical staff with various tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our research and development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software in lab environments.
- Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of lab equipment, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Manage inventory of lab equipment and consumables, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Provide basic technical support to researchers and engineers using the lab facilities.
- Assist in the installation and uninstallation of software and operating systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
- Document lab procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Support senior technicians and engineers on projects as needed.
