Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Layout Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The Layout Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing physical layouts for integrated circuits (ICs) and electronic systems. This role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, design rules, and layout verification tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize physical layouts for complex integrated circuits (ICs) according to design specifications and technology constraints.
- Collaborate with circuit designers and verification engineers to ensure layout meets performance, power, and area targets.
- Perform layout versus schematic (LVS) and design rule checking (DRC) to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
- Generate GDSII or other layout data formats for fabrication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve layout-related issues during the design and manufacturing phases.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in layout design methodologies and semiconductor technologies.
