Lead Category Head - Manufacturing & Production Sector (2-3 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Category Head with 2-3 years of experience to join our Manufacturing & Production division in Surat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement strategies for key manufacturing categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and negotiation skills, who can contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives for raw materials, components, and services within the manufacturing and production domain.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential new suppliers and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, tendering, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Production, Finance) to understand their needs and ensure procurement meets quality and operational requirements.
- Monitor category spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to drive efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing practices, and relevant regulations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned categories and report on performance to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in category management.
