Legal Counsel - Criminal Law

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a strong background in Criminal Law to join our corporate legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on all criminal law matters impacting our operations across India. This role requires a deep understanding of Indian criminal statutes, procedures, and case law, with a focus on mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise management on criminal law implications related to business operations, including fraud, theft, and other white-collar crimes.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex criminal law issues.
- Represent the company in criminal investigations and proceedings, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and policies with a focus on criminal liability.
- Develop and implement compliance programs to prevent and address criminal misconduct.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of criminal litigation and dispute resolution.
- Stay abreast of changes in criminal law and regulations in India and their impact on the company.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on criminal law compliance and ethical conduct.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and prosecution authorities.
