Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Counsel with a specialization in Family Law to join our growing team in India. This role will be instrumental in advising on legal matters pertaining to employee welfare, benefits, and compliance, with a particular focus on aspects that may intersect with family law principles, such as employee support programs and related policies. You will also be responsible for ensuring overall legal compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on legal implications and compliance related to employee benefits, welfare programs, and HR policies, ensuring alignment with Indian labor laws and best practices.
Provide legal guidance on matters that may involve family law considerations for employees, such as support for marital issues, child welfare, and related statutory compliances.
Develop and review company policies and procedures to ensure legal soundness and adherence to all applicable regulations, including those impacting employees and their families.
Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with employment contracts, disputes, and terminations.
Stay abreast of changes in Indian laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the urban transport sector and employment law.
Liaise with external counsel and government authorities as needed.
Assist in drafting and reviewing various legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
