Legal Counsel - Family Law & Compliance

Role Summary:
Nazara Technologies is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Counsel with a specialization in Family Law and a strong understanding of compliance within the gaming and digital media sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising on a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on family law implications that may arise in the context of our user base and operations, as well as ensuring adherence to all relevant Indian laws and regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and a commitment to upholding ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of Indian Family Law, including but not limited to, marriage, divorce, child custody, adoption, maintenance, and property division, as they may intersect with digital platforms and user data.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to address potential family law-related issues arising from user-generated content, online interactions, and platform policies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian laws and regulations, including those related to data privacy, consumer protection, intellectual property, and gaming-specific legislation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.
• Advise on risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to legal and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, HR) to provide legal support and ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Stay updated on evolving legal landscapes, particularly in the gaming and digital sectors, and their potential impact on family law considerations.
