Role Summary:
HALS is seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the efficiency of its legal department. This role will be instrumental in managing legal processes, technology, vendor relationships, and financial aspects of the legal function to support HAL's extensive operations in the defence and aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department.
- Manage the legal department's budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and managing vendor payments.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of legal technology solutions (e.g., contract management systems, e-discovery tools, matter management software).
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and other service providers, including managing RFPs and contract negotiations.
- Develop and enforce legal department policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage internal legal knowledge management systems and resources.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the legal department and report on performance metrics.
- Support the legal team in managing litigation, regulatory compliance, and contract review processes from an operational standpoint.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian laws and regulations pertaining to the defence and aerospace industry.
