Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Legal & Regulatory professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations within the gems and jewellery sector, managing legal documentation, and providing expert advice on regulatory matters. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate law, intellectual property, and consumer protection laws as they apply to the Indian market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations affecting the gems and jewellery industry in India.
- Ensure the company's operations, policies, and procedures are compliant with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and vendor agreements.
- Manage intellectual property rights, including trademarks and patents, related to company products and brands.
- Advise on consumer protection laws and ensure fair trade practices.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external legal counsel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and training.
- Conduct legal research and provide timely legal opinions on a wide range of matters.
- Handle litigation and dispute resolution matters as and when required.
