Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our team. The Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, or recommending approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the financial status of loan applicants, including credit history, income, and assets.
- Review loan applications and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Explain loan terms, conditions, and interest rates to clients.
- Approve or reject loan applications based on established lending criteria and policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and advice.
- Stay updated on relevant lending regulations and market trends.
- Prepare loan packages and submit them to the underwriting department.
- Monitor loan portfolios and follow up on delinquent accounts.
