Logistics Manager

Role Summary: The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Air India's logistics operations within India, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and delivery of goods and materials critical to airline operations. This role requires a strategic approach to supply chain management and a deep understanding of the aviation industry's unique logistical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the flow of goods and materials.
- Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation.
- Oversee inventory management and warehousing operations to ensure timely availability of aircraft parts, equipment, and other supplies.
- Negotiate with vendors, carriers, and service providers to secure competitive rates and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including aviation safety standards and import/export laws.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, maintenance, and operations, to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
- Implement and utilize logistics software and technology to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
