Job Description

Role Summary: The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of Air India's logistics operations, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods, materials, and equipment. This role is critical for maintaining operational continuity and supporting the airline's extensive network across India and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and customs procedures.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
- Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for aircraft maintenance and operations.
- Implement and manage robust inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with various departments, including maintenance, engineering, flight operations, and finance, to ensure seamless logistics support.
- Manage the logistics budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
