Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics / SCM Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team at JK Paper Ltd. in Chandigarh. This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow, and driving cost-effectiveness within the pulp and paper industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their B.Des background to bring innovative design thinking to logistics and supply chain challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve existing logistics and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, sales) to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on logistics and SCM performance.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
- Design and optimize warehouse layouts and material handling systems.
- Research and implement new technologies and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
