Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce high-quality components for the railway industry. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up CNC and conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Perform precision machining operations to meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize production processes.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations.
